The Success Equation™
Reward equals effort times time.
A simple equation for understanding results, work and patience.
The Equation
One line that explains almost everything.
R = e × t
Reward = Effort × Time

The Success Equation says that every worthwhile outcome can be traced back to two inputs: the effort you put in, and the time you allow it to work. Reward is the result, never the starting point.
The equation is honest, and that is both its comfort and its challenge. It comforts because it says your results are not decided by luck or by other people. It challenges because it removes every excuse: if the reward is missing, the effort or the time is missing too.
Whenever you want something, do not start by staring at the reward. Start by asking two quieter questions: how much effort does this truly require, and how much time must I be willing to give it?
The Three Parts
Know your inputs. Trust the equation.
e
Effort
The consistent work, energy and action you put in.
Effort is the part of the equation you control completely. It is the showing up, the practising, the unglamorous repetition that no one applauds. Effort cannot guarantee a result on any given day, but no reward has ever arrived without it.
t
Time
The duration, patience and persistence you invest.
Time is the part of the equation most people underestimate. Effort applied once is an event; effort sustained over time is a transformation. Time is what turns small daily actions into compounding results, and it cannot be rushed or skipped.
R
Reward
The results, outcomes and benefits you receive.
Reward is the outcome, and it sits on the other side of the equals sign for a reason. It is not a gift and not a lottery. It is what the equation produces when honest effort is multiplied by patient time. When the reward feels slow, the answer is usually to check the inputs, not to abandon the equation.
Multiply effort by time, and the reward follows
